Sometimes the moon waxes over. Sometimes the tide rises twice, but always will i keep you afloat. Sometimes the sun enamels that sky. Sometimes the desert sands drift, but always will i listen to you. Sometimes the wind beats down. Sometimes the trees splinter, but always will i protect you. Sometimes the rain saturates the air. Someitmes tears fill the lungs, but always will i believe in you. And even after, after you scream at me you judge me and contort me, i will still wait- through the pleasure and the pain- until you believe in yourself enough to believe in me.

Mulling It All Over

Let me begin with this: I love to write. I also haven't come up with anything for months on end. All of a sudden, within the past week, I have a mini anthology building up. I've been snooping around for poetry-based scholarships and I guess that has motivated me to type up everything and anything I wouldn't be ashamed to show the world. I'm not sure how much of it I'll post on here-it really wouldn't matter-but I have yet to discover what spurred this surge of pretty word vomit. (Doesn't sound so pretty there, haha.)

Thoughts on a Rainy Afternoon

It is amazing what a difference some drizzling rain and a cool breeze can impose on one's mind. That opening line expresses the mixed emotions I am currently toggling through at the present. From the inside looking out, it is hard for me to fathom what has happened and what is happening in the world. How many wars are we fighting? Does anyone know? We have a war on terrorism, drugs, the border, and God knows what else. Diplomacy and legitimacy are merely words, terms without meaning or weight. My Little Experiment

"Floating in Entropy" (Installment 1 of lord-knows-how-many.) A shrill, escalating ring bursts from the bed-side table. The darkness is cut into shards by the sunlight that stares in through the blids that were just kicked by a lump of covers.
